I have a pageant coming up and I need to find either a gladiator costume or a pirate costume that I could wear in a dance routine that involves tumbling. you could probably find some patters like these at a fabric store
if the problem with the store bought halloween ones are length then try adding another layer of fabric to the skirt.
but if sewing's not your thing, go out and buy pieces. a corset and white skirt is a basic female pirate costume
