What are good cards for a gladiator beast deck?

I want to make a gladiator beast deck but I don't really know where to start. So what are some cards that are "required" for a good deck and what are some cards that can be good? Also are Elemental Hero Stratos and Elemental Hero Plasma necessary?|||Here is my rescue gladiator beast/synchro deck. Some people still might run a prisma, but not elemental hero stratos anymore. Rescue cat and samnite replaces the whole prisma engine. People put X-Saber Airbellum instead. Some people at yugioh forums say it was slow. Is not called plasma, is called prisma.





Solemns and mirror force might be expensive for starters, so get bottomless trap holes instead or put a prisma.

I fell asleep in the middle of it. They named the guy "Maximus" - is that supposed to be a joke? It was almost as bad as Titanic... which was possibly the worst movie I ever saw.|||I only watched the 1st couple of mins. I loved the original but this has just ruined it for me.

this is because an effect cannot activate in the graveyard unless it specifically says so. as far as i know, not one of the gladiator beasts say even if this card was destroyed by battle.

Thanks in advance|||I think the music composed for the film Gladiator does exactly what a classic movie score should do - when you're simply listening to it, you are able to picture the movie in your mind's eye (the same thing that the music composed by Miklos Rozsa did for films in the 1950s and 1960s - think Ben Hur and El Cid, in particular).





There are some amazingly dramatic and uplifting parts in the Gladiator soundtrack, my favourites are the battle scene (with the Germans) at the start, and the later scenes in the Colosseum. Within the music, you can hear parts that easily convey the clash of swords and armour, and the tempo builds as the battles reach their climax.





As with the movie, the music fits the various moods as the story changes - there are uplifting pieces, dramatic and passionate pieces (usually used during the confict and battle scenes) and also a romance-style piece (fitting with the contemplative moments in the film, when Maximus is remembering his family).





I love the Gladiator soundtrack, and think it's one of the best written to date.

Hi! I'm taking an independent class at school where I'm studying several elements of film. Right now I'm studying character development. When I googled this subject, the movie "Gladiator" came up as a good film to watch for this. I'm fine with watching violent movies, but I was wondering how violent the movie is. I have to watch it on a computer in the library with headphones. Is the film too violent to watch at school? Thanks and God bless!|||Watching it at school is a big no. At home it's ok. It's pretty violent but has a good moral to it.|||It's got some brutal scenes in it. Some of the battle scenes are bearable to watch, but if you're squeamish about blood then it's probably not something I would recommend to you. However, in saying that, it is one of the best best films I have seen and it's a classic. The movie is not just about violence. It is an emotional film with great characters and the story is great. There are many deep things that happen in the movie. So I would still watch it, because the greatness of the story as a whole overshadows the violence.|||I recall one scene where a gladiator had spears protruding from her chariot's two wheels. One gladiator fell, was attempting to sit up (to try standing up) and the chariot drove by and sliced off his head or something incredibly bloody occurred. It was a violent movie, but you could tell it was produced and edited very professionally with a slick approach to segueing between scenes...(a spiraling view of the sky),|||The worst violence is some blood splattering during the gladiatorial combat. There are quite a lot of fight scenes in the movie.

The film scores you cited are in a tradition of film-score writing, which is stylized but takes all its cues from classical music. Much of that classical base was from the late romantic period and the first half of the twentieth century.



Here is the last movement of Resphigi's Pines of Rome. It is a 'tone poem' - i.e. it is loosely based on a premise of evoking images, or just as likely an image inspired the composer to conjure up a particular sound. This is a famous piece, orchestra huge, this final movement (4th) a grand and slow build up to the thunderous ending. the link will lead you to the other three. Lots of good picks on youtube, I only recommend you find one that links to all of it - it is a piece of many moods, and very nice,



Arthur Honegger, Symphony No. 5, last movement. In the classical department, this earlier twentieth century work still 'sounds' very well' and also sounds to me a bit 'dated.' It eremindsme of episodes from the Flash Gordon serials in black and white form the late thirties. Again, some of this 'vocabulary' is now a staple in the film composer's color box:

If you are still with me, I add now a piece I love. Late Romantic - Modern, music of mixed character, with those characters working with and against each other. It is extended, a continuous ten minutes, and has a dramatic narrative feel ('cinematic'). It goes military and threatening, and builds nicely. It too, to a degree, has entered the vocabulary of film scores.

Is Gladiator the greatest movie ever made?

My friend has been bothering me for the past month, begging and pleading for me to watch this movie. He even said he'd go as far as to buy me the blu-ray edition for $30 some dollars on Amazon and have it shipped to my house just so I could watch it (despite not owning a blu-ray player). That's a lot of confidence in a movie! So, naturally, is Gladiator the greatest movie ever made?|||ever made?? that's a bit much. but it is good. i think blade runner is a good candidate for "ever made" but that's just an opinion. i guess i'd have to see every movie there is to make that call|||It's not the greatest movie ever made, but it's definitely something you should see. The character development and storyline are fantastic in addition to amazing camera work and cinematography. I'm a fan of these types of movies being the history buff I am and I'd say that it stands out above any others in its genre/type. It's a movie that you wouldn't regret watching, I'll put it that way.

I'm currently watching Gladiator (about halfway done), and I noticed that after the first battle scene, the dog is not mentioned or seen again. Does he come up in the end, and if not, what was the significance of having it?|||nothing happened to the dog. It just wasn't a relevant part of the story. at all. Like what happened to a particular soldier on the front corner of the third group. What happened to the bird in the very beginning. What happened to all the horses. hate to spoil it, but the dog does not have any future part in the movie, and was of no real interest to the whole movie, but to show that dogs were used in battle as well.|||the king killed the dog.

Idk wich 1 is better the tag team of the gladiator beast's or the fully loaded effects of the six samuri. I think its a tie but that me. Oliver Reed played the slave trader that bought Maximus to fight as a gladiator for him. There are several instances in the movie where Reed is seen fidgeting with some kind of pendant. My father told me that the pendant is some kind of middle eastern/eastern thing used to occupy people who need to play with something in their hands. Who would win in a fight a between an Apache and a Gladiator?

They also tested this on deadliest warrior. They Apache used the following weapons:Tomahawk,Knife,Bow and Arrow, and War Club. Because the Apache wore deerskin shirt, leggings, loin-cloth, and moccasins in their everyday life even in battles. While the Gladiators mostly had armor of some kind to protect precious areas. The Apache could be very ruthless against outsiders and merciless to those who crossed them. Even though Gladiators are train to fight without mercy and always for some form of monetary gain, they didn't live everyday life with the hardness and strife that the Apache did.|||There is NO definitive answer to this question as it depends on a number of variables you just cannot account for. For instance, which fighter has had more battle experience? Where are they fighting- in the wilds, in an arena? Which man is the tougher fighter? Is the sun in one man's eyes? Is it raining (because bow strings when wet are useless)?


Put it this way- an arrow shot plumb straight should pierce the gladiator's armour. But is the apache a good shot? Does he hit the mark straight on? And what of the gladiator- he has a sling and a well placed stone to the head of the Apache (who doesnt have a helmet) would, at the VERY least, put him on the ground. Also, the gladiator had a much wider range of weaponry than you listed, including the spartha or gladius(the short double edged sword made famous by Russell Crowe), and he might also have a shield.


On the other hand, if you have seen a video of the power behind a tomahawk being thrown, then you'll know just how ferocious a weapon this is- it can shatter wood! As for the war club- well, i dont know how it compares to the metal clubs carried by knights in the middle ages, but a well swung club would probably crush a helmet (and skull) quite easily, or at the least stun the opponent long enough to slit his throat.


I could not say which PERSON would win in the fight. I can say though that the gladiator has more advanced weaponry and armour.|||The apache has a bow and being lightly armored, is faster of foot.





If he keeps out of hand to hand range he will win.





In hand to hand, the gladiator will cut him down - having better weapons/training in hand to hand fighting, plus more protective armor against the apache's lighter weapons.|||Gladiator.

After its activated, nothing can stop it unless something negates its activation (i.e. Seven Tools of the Bandit) or negates its effect (i.e. Trap Stun). Field Blowing effects (Demise/Norleras) work really well, but that wouldn't be ideal for zombie synch. Maybe use Lightning Vortex to dump zuki/spreader (or mali depending on which version ur running) so even if they disarm/solemn/bribe it u can still get the graveyard fx.

What are the best Gladiator style games for PC?

I have recently been watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and have had a sudden urge to play a game similar to the tv series. I had a brief google, but only found "Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance" which has abysmal graphics. If a gladiator beast is destroyed as a result of battle, does its effect still activate?

i attack a gladiator beast and destroy it.at the end of the battle phase, the gladiator beast returns to the deck from the graveyard and another one replaces it. Is it supposed to return to the deck even though its in the graveyard?or does it stay in the graveyard?|||no. most of the time a monster has to be face up on the field for their effect to be active. since the GB are no longer on the field, their effects don't work. This could also happen if book of moon was used on a GB after it attacked or was attacked (during the battle phase of course)|||Whoever judged that tournament in Singapore was wrong. Effects that activate in the graveyard are specified in the card text that they activate in the graveyard, such as mystic tomato. No GBs mention activation in the graveyard.so they need to stay alive.

But in Singapore , the tournaments allow it to be activated even if it dies cause the TCG card does not specifically say from the field.|||No. If the gladiator beast is destroyed then it stays in the graveyard, it does not return to the deck. The only way possible for it to return if it would have been destroyed would be Waboku, Mist Body, Gladiator Beast's Battle Manica, etc.|||No, it has to remain on the field untill it is sent back to the deck. I have to write a essay for school about one gladiator character and why the want either a republic/empire. I know Marcus Arelius wants a republic at the end of his life, and I have a few reasons but not alot. What reasons shown in the movie show that marcus wanting a republic? If a Gladiator Beast is sent to the graveyard by battle, does it still go back to the deck?

I have a Gladiator deck. This puzzles me a lot. Why do people play Waboku in a Gladiator Beast deck? It still goes to the graaveyard. So does it go back to the deck after it dies?|||A Gladiator Beast monster has to be faceup on the field at the end of the battlephase in order to get its effect, which means if it gets killed it does not get its effect. The part that you seem to be confused about is Waboku.





Waboku negates ALL battle damage, including that done to the monsters, in other words your monsters cannot be killed in battle. By using Waboku, GB players make sure that their monsters stay alive long enough to get their effects.|||your monster still dies when u use wabuku it only protects you from damage

|||No there are 2 types of waboku, one is the old card and the other is the new card, basicly one just stops you from taking battle damage, the new one means none of your monsters are destroyed by battle and you take no battle damage.

The way GB's work is that if they battle, they have the ability to "tag out". This is useful because it allows the user to have any GB they need at the tip of their fingers. I run B-wing Gale because its effect helps get over stronger monsters, as does the effect of NS Grand Mole. As for the Rai-Ohs, they help make the deck more antimeta, which is what it is really based on since Bestiari got limited. Most of the spells are staples, except Forbidden Lances, which act as protection of spell/traps and weakening of opponents monsters. The traps are also pretty much staples, to help get rid of the opponents strong monsters and protect GBs, and Wabokus allow you to save GB monsters from battle, then tag out. The Extra Deck has all staple synchros and the staple GB fusions (which are summoned by returning GBs to the main deck). The side deck ruins Six Samurai, Gravekeepers, Plant/Tengu Synchro, Frogs, etc.

Also, if you were thinking about running the Test Tiget/Prisma build, it's really inconsistent, because they can contiually get stuck in your hand, especially if GB Bestiari somehow is removed from play, etc.
